8.03 Interactive Mode Commands
Entering Interactive Commands
All commands may be abbreviated. In the following list the command is shown partly in upper-case and partly in lower-case. The minimum required is shown in upper-case.
Interactive Script Handling
The NEW command clears the memory and screen and prepares the computer for a new program. Be sure to save the program that you have been working on before you enter NEW as it is unrecoverable once NEW has been entered.
Run [filename [args]]
The RUN command starts program execution. The RUN command can also be entered as a slash (/).
List [start [count|*]]
The LIST command allows you to display program lines.
If LIST is entered with no numbers following it, the entire program in memory is listed.
If a number follows the LIST, the line with that number is listed.
If a second number is entered that number of lines is listed.
Input [start [count|*]]
The INPUT command allows you to insert program lines.
If INPUT is entered with no numbers following it or the [Enter] key is pressed, the command window will change to input mode. You can enter new lines. Any lines entered will be added to the end of the current file.
If a line number follows INPUT, the lines will be inserted after that line.
The LOAD command loads filename into memory. It replaces any program currently in memory.
The SAVE command the current file to disk.
Dump [start [count|*]]
The DUMP command shows the internal code for selected program lines.
If DUMP is entered with no numbers following it, the whole program is shown.
If a number follows DUMP, the line with that number is shown.
If a second number is entered that number of lines is shown.
Shows the interactive mode help screen.
The EXIT command ends LynPlex.
Change the current directory. If entered without any arguments, it displays the current directory.
